Welcome to the 2nd Road Dust Best Management Practices Conference. I know we speak for the entire planning committee in expressing our pleasure at seeing so many public and private groups come together to exchange experiences and connect in optimism for the future in dust management and control. Every one of you holds an interest in dust; your participation here demonstrates your pursuit. Do you share our vision of communities with improved livability, and safe and sustainable roads? Many of the topics and issues at this event will resonate with you, such that you will say, “I want to be part of the solution!” We recognize at times our business interests may compete, but by joining this week in a common purpose, we will see that positive prospects exist everywhere. So make new friends, find new answers, seize opportunities, and thank you for making this conference a success.
